Miis are digital humanoid characters made by Nintendo, in 2006, that are meant to represent and look like people. Their designs are fairly simple though with recent games they have become a bit more complex while still holding their original charm. You can customize them however you'd like to look like whoever you want them to look like.

Miis are featured in many different games and apps on Nintendo systems and even, at one point, Mobile devices. Some noteable games include Miitopia and the Tomodachi Life series, the mobile game was Miitomo. Miitomo went down in 2018 but the community still hovers around and I believe somewhere there is still a somewhat usable APK that people are trying to get online functionality working on again. The Miitopia and Tomodachi Life communities are as big and as loud as ever. Now that a version of both of the games is on the Nintendo Switch the communities have boomed with activity and discussion.
